Dubai is set to dazzle with unforgettable celebrations for Eid Al Etihad 53. From 28 November to 3 December 2024, the city will come alive with a variety of exciting events to commemorate 53 years of the UAE’s union.
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year’s celebrations offer a wide range of activities, from world-class live entertainment and cultural performances to retail promotions, family-friendly attractions, and mouthwatering culinary delights.
There’s truly something for everyone this Eid in the heart of the UAE.
Eid Al Etihad Fireworks
One of the most anticipated highlights of the Eid festivities is the series of spectacular fireworks displays taking place across Dubai.
The celebrations kick off with fireworks on 1 December at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR, lighting up the Dubai skyline at 8pm.
The excitement continues on 2 December with displays in Hatta at 8pm and Dubai Festival City Mall at 9:20pm, concluding on 3 December with a final show at Al Seef at 9pm.
Each display promises to be a mesmerising visual treat that will leave spectators in awe.
Cultural Celebrations across Dubai
Eid Al Etihad 53 will be a feast for the eyes and senses, with vibrant cultural events unfolding across Dubai.
The City Walk celebrations on 2 December will feature over 200 performers, including acrobats, fabric dancers, flag bearers, and traditional bands.
Emirati singer Mohamed Al Shehhi will also take the stage, accompanied by a live band, offering a unique performance to delight attendees.
Global Village, the region's premier cultural destination, will host the grand Hawa Emirati Operetta from 1 to 3 December.
In addition to its stunning cultural performances, visitors can explore the wide array of shopping and entertainment offerings available across the Global Village pavilions.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai is also adding to the cultural experience with special exhibitions and commemorative stamps celebrating the UAE’s rich heritage, including a captivating passport museum exhibition at Dubai International Airport.
Immersive Cultural Markets
Families can also enjoy seasonal markets, which will shine a spotlight on local Emirati entrepreneurs. From 27 to 29 November, a market in Jumeirah will showcase folk crafts, live performances, and food stalls, while another market in Al Khawaneej from 1 to 4 December will offer a similar experience. These markets provide a perfect opportunity to experience authentic Emirati culture and support local artisans.
Thrilling Live Entertainment shows
Dubai’s vibrant live entertainment scene is another major draw during the Eid celebrations. For music lovers, Jalsat Moments on 28 November at Coca-Cola Arena will feature performances from iconic Arabic singers, including Ayed Yousef, Eida Al Menhali, Nabeel Shuail, and Abdulaziz Al-Duwaihi. On 30 November, Egyptian legend Amr Diab will bring his unforgettable voice to Dubai Harbour in a live concert under the stars.
Dubai is also hosting a range of other world-class performances this weekend, such as Cirque Du Liban's Pluma Circus at Dubai Festival City Mall (28–30 November) and Bollywood beats at the AKS Dance Festival at Zero Gravity (30 November–1 December). For those seeking a fashion and arts experience, F.A.M.E 2024 will be held at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on 30 November. The weekend also promises several live concerts, including performances by Stormzy and classical music by Andrey Gugnin at Dubai Opera.
Football and Sports events
Sports enthusiasts will not be left out, with the Kings Cup Dubai taking place on 30 November at Al Maktoum Stadium. Football legends such as John Terry, Roberto Carlos, and Paul Pogba will join in a high-profile exhibition match. Additionally, the Emirates Dubai 7s at The Sevens Stadium on 1 December will offer thrilling rugby action, while a variety of football-focused events and activities will run throughout the weekend.
Retail Promotions & Shopping
Dubai’s shopping scene will be buzzing with special retail offers and mall activations during Eid Al Etihad 53. Malls across the city will feature enchanting performances, including traditional music and dance performances celebrating the spirit of unity.
